God’s word 07/03/2022.
Good afternoon viewers, still on God’s word, and then you all remembered where I stopped; and I stopped at Abraham giving all of his inheritance to Isaac, and then all other of his concubines, he gave gifts, so now we would begin from Genesis 25, from vs 20.
And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel.
Vs 21, and Isaac intreated the Lord for his wife, because she was Barren: and the Lord was entreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived. Now there is this question of why there was barrenness, and still someone would say, is this not the wife that was ordained by God for Isaac? Certainly yes, but the truth here was that she wasn’t actually barren like maybe something caused it, but what happened was God’s timing, and then God needed the rightful children for Isaac, and when we look at vs 22, the bible says, and the children struggled together within her; and she said if it be so, why am I thus ? And she went to enquire of the Lord.
Vs 23, and the Lord said unto her, two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be seperated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people, and the elder shall serve the younger.
And then maybe Rebekah would wonder why these, and also Christians today, now this was to happen because God was trying to make amends and so the Isrealites would be free later, and so He needed two children that wouldn’t be together, and then represent two nations, don’t just want to start reading scriptures, and those two children were Esau and Jacob. Now let’s move to vs 29.
And if there is any story I would love to tell is this story of the pottage, yes I love this pottage part of their story, and then you have someone so so hungry hahaha, yes I wonder what kind of hunger is that.
Vs 29, and Jacob sod pottage and Esau said to Jacob, feed me, I pray thee with that same red pottage; imagine a red pottage just freshly cooked, for I am faint, and then when you read further Jacob said, now sell me your birth right, here the spirit of God is trying to explain something, not because He actually programmed Jacob and Esau’s encounter, but still everyone, like every child of God could learn, imagine you want something, and it’s not even something you could have for life, and it’s even food, and then you would be told to do something that might cost your life, and still some people they would nod and tell you it’s adventure, but you can have this same thing else where, and you wouldn’t be demanded a thing. But can God’s children learn from all of these events in the bible, all of these stories were written, and so there could be understanding of some certain encounter, and then maybe because God programmed it, and then Esau sold his birth right.
But sometimes, even if there is no programming, some people still fall victim of an encounter like this, and birth right might not be mentioned, and it might be some other things that could affect them later in the future, still as I said earlier, we could learn and so we can make good decisions, and be living proof to our world.
