The Power of Revelation
THE POWER OF REVELATION.
What is Revelation? Revelation means vision, it means spiritual knowledge in the things of the spirit. While the power of Revelation is a spiritual gift from God to man, a gift which makes a man have insight in to the hidden things of the spirit. The bible talked about revelation, and almost all the scripture in the bible were gotten from revelation, God gave men visions, and all the visions that was given to them came to pass, but before the reality of the vision was manifested, the visions itself were put down as a record, and its reality and manifestation were recorded.
Example is the book of Isaiah. Isaiah was Gods Prophet in the bible days, and he gave revelations concerning several events that would happen. In Isaiah 53 vs 1 Isaiah spoke; who had believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed vs 2 and he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire of him. Now this was Isaiah the Prophet speaking, when he wrote about this revelation, people read what he wrote, but they couldn’t understand what he meant but after many years, when Jesus Christ came into the world, then those the spirit of God guided were the ones that read back Isaiah the Prophet, and then realize that those Prophesies that he Prophesied years back came to pass.
In vs 9 of the book of Isaiah 53, it reads and he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he done no violence neither was any deceit in his mount. Now this other part in Isaiah’s Prophesy was about Jesus as well, and remember that the bible talked about how Joseph of Arimathea, a rich man, and how he went to the council in Jerusalem to demand for the body of Jesus, and he then made a rich grave so the the body of Jesus Christ can be buried. These were all the Prophesies that Isaiah the Prophet gave, and they all came to reality.
Now looking at the book of Revelation itself. The book of Relation is a complete picture of the power of Revelation, and it was written by Appostle Jhon after his exiled to badmos. The book of Revelation which is known as the Appocalypse, which means unveiling or disclosure or Apokalypsis Lesou Christou which means the revelation of Jesus Christ. I love this name ‘Christou’ to describe Jesus Christ because it reminds me of of old time Catholic address to Jesus Christ and still it reminds me of the Convent, and how the Reverend sisters plays their Rosary and then pray each twenty five minutes, within twenty four hours. Well, it is interesting to note this complete address of Jesus Christ and its significance. Now the book of Revelation shows the record of the visions that God gave to Appostle Jhon, some you might understand and some others you might not. Now lets look at Revelation 12 vs 7, and the bible recorded that there was war in heaven Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and the dragon fought and his angels and they prevailed not, neither was their place found anymore in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent called the devil, and satan which decieveth the whole world, he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him, vs 10 and I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, now is come salvationand strength and the Kingdom of our God and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of our testimony, and they love not their lives unto death.
Now looking at the meaning of this Revelation. The old dragon that was cast out many years ago to deceive the world is why we have sinners, but come to think of it, any smart fellow wouldn’t let anyone to deceive him or her, but that’s the truth; and then we overcame him by the words of our mouth, now this means words of confession during salvation, and that’s the confession you made when you give your life to Christ, and then by the words of our testimony, this means sharing our victories and then letting others to know what the Lord has done , and then they love not their lives unto death, this means accepting Jesus Christ alone and not living a life that will lead to death.
Looking back at other Prophets that God showed His revelation power to, like Ezekiel the Prophet, In Ezekiel 37 vs 1 : And the hand of the Lord is upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the Lord and set me down in the midst of the valley which is full of bones. Vs 2 And caused me to pass by them round about: and behold there were very many in the open valley, and lo they were very dry, and he said unto me, son of man, can these bones live? This scripture shows a complete picture of Gods Revelation power, God was indirectly showing Prophet Ezekiel what He can do in the physical and also in the spiritual world, He can turn dry bones to come alive in the physical world, and also in the spiritual world, He can turn dry bones situation around. This is what the spirit of God meant, when He showed Prophet Ezekiel this revelation. Though most people think that this dry bones revelation was already manifested in the bible days, not exactly, this manifestation has not happened yet in the physical world, that is turning skeletal bones in to a living being, but there are situations that seems critical that has been changed by God over the years. The truth is that God is all powerful, and it was His nature that He showed to Ezekiel and then we today. We need to know more about God so we would live the life that He wants us to live. So this Christmas season, we need to know God more, and then celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, and then thanking God for seeing us through this year, especially during the pandemic, so everyone lets celebrate Christmas in a happy way, no matter what has happened and for the major countries that suffered high mortality rate, because of the Covid 19 pandemic lets pray for Gods wisdom and revelation and then pray for the next coming year for God to see us through the year.
