The teachings and healings of Jesus part two.
Scripture Mathew 19 vs 21.
Jesus said unto him, if thou will be perfect, go and sell that thou hast and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven, and come and follow me.
Now usually, people thought on this scripture to be selling all and all that anyone has and then giving it to the poor, certainly not, but it means giving in high measure, inrespective of the circumstance, that might arise, that is what it means.
And then the last part of that verse says, and come and follow me, which means prooving yourself to be that someone that would never be carried away by possessions, or whatever it is, but would come follow him to teach and then heal the sick.
Vs 22, but when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowfully, for he had great possessions. Now we see that was why Jesus spoke those words to him, to see if he had that mind, that mind that would answer to his call,
Vs 23, then said Jesus unto his disciples, verily I say unto you, that a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Here Jesus didn’t mean that rich people cannot enter in to God’s Kingdom, but depending on the mind those rich people has, because there are some that don’t even care about anyone order than their possessions, and then still they don’t look out for what they can do for those that don’t have, this is always the mind of some rich, and that is why it difficult for God to use them, but still, there are some that has this mind that God can use from time to time, and then everyone would be amazed seeing them manifesting.
Vs 24, and again I say unto you, it is easier for a Carmel to go through the eyes of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven.
This was what I explained in the above, and then the bible says further, it is easier for a Carmel to go through the eyes of a needle, which means though it’s hard for a Carmel to go through the eyes of a needle, and then most people thought this needle to be the needle for sewing dress hahaha yes the needle for sewing dress, not exactly, it actually means, during the bible days when people usually pass through the city gate, and then there were times, the gate was locked, and people had no alternative than to pass through the only gate that was made available, and that gate was just a small opening, and it was crowded, and people and their carmel’s struggled to pass through this small opening.
And then because of the crowd, there was another opening, they call it the needle, and a human would struggle to pass through, and then much more difficult for a Carmel to pass through, and that was why the bible says, that it is difficult for a Carmel to pass through the eyes of a needle. Ok we all now understand what a needle means.
It is important that we understand the teachings of Jesus Christ, and then learn from what he taught, this is because those teachings were filled with God’s spirit and presence to cause changes in the lives of many, so studying the scriptures and then allowing those words gain entrance in to our lives is what we need from time to time.
