What does Christmas means? Christmas means celebrating, or marking the birth of our saviour Jesus Christ, it means keeping the record, and remembering how he was born and why he was born.

Over the years, Christmas has been celebrated for decades, and it still goes on and on, this is because, we need to keep record of his personality, revrence his birth, and celebrate him in a very wonderful and joyous way.

We can’t talk about Christmas, and not refere to one or two scriptures that connects the birth of Jesus Christ, wow! I love Christmas season, because it’s a season of Expectation, expecting surprises from friends, family, relatives, loved ones, e.t.c. This happens because that’s the way most people love to celebrate the season, and then showing love to them, matters so much, and while showing love to them, they can now begin to think about Jesus Christ, or think on the way he was born, or better Still the serveral revelations that connects the birth of Jesus Christ starts flowing through their minds, and then think on maybe this scripture.

Isaiah 9 vs 6 -7

For unto us a child is born, and unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called wonderful, counsellor, the mighty God, the everlasting father, the prince of peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom to order it, and to establish it with judgement and with justice from henceforth, even forever.

Oh! If this is the case, I would love these sets, that maybe giving them gifts would make them think on this scripture that connects the birth of Jesus Christ, they would be justified, this is because there are some, or there might be some that even if they recieve enormous gifts, they would never think on any scripture to revrence the birth of Jesus Christ.

On the other hand, looking at the reason why Christmas must be  celebrated, is to make us remember that we have a saviour, we have a messiah, and we need to be joyous during the season, till the very day of Christmas.

Oh! I love the Christmas trees, the decorations, the lights, and for those countries that have the natural Christmas trees, I mean snows falling on those natural trees, hahaha! Yes, but here in Africa Nigeria, we don’t have snows falling on these natural Christmas trees, but we do have these natural Christmas trees, in some places, so tall, nice and beautiful, and you could hear or listen to the waves of these trees, like the season waves. But for countries like the united States, Oh ! I love the United States, and I love the Christmas season there, seeing those natural trees, and snow falling on them, Oh! The scenario, yes it’s nice in the united States during Christmas, just watching those Christmas movies on TV, you could tell how it is over there, but for those countries that don’t have the natural Christmas trees, and snows on them, the artificial Christmas trees could be nice, though still in those countries, where you have the natural Christmas trees and then snows on them, those in these countries could still go for the artificial ones with the lights, this is because the trees, the decorations, the lights, gives memories, it makes us feel the excitement of Christmas, and the joy of celebrating our Messiah, then we could have the images of Joseph, Mary, and the baby Jesus Christ, and could just see all of these and be excited, and give God praise and glory.

Why do we celebrate Christmas:

1. We celebrate Christmas because it is important that we recognize the birth of our saviour Jesus Christ.

2. We celebrate Christmas because it helps mark our beliefs as Christians.

3. We celebrate Christmas because it’s a sign or it shows that we are God’s children.

Christmas is important especially for Christians, though none Christians could still celebrate, but it is important that Christians spend quality time to pray during the season, and after singing song of praise, and then now comes to singing Christmas Carols Oh! I almost forgot this part, it’s important that we sing Christmas Carols. I actually have a Christmas song that I wrote years back, and I sang it for two Christmas season, and it goes like this.

Christmas Song.

Unto us a Child is born.

He was born for the redemption of man.

And he came to set us free from bondage,

Now we celebrate his birth.  2x

Oh! Oh! A king is born.

Oh! Oh! A king is born.

Oh! Oh! A king is born to set us free      2x.

We could just sing all the Christmas songs that we hear, or we could sing the ones that we know, we will only be attracting God’s presence into our lives, God’s presence into our next plans in life, God’s presence on whatever it is, maybe we have issues, challenges, situations, we could be attracting God’s presence to cause changes to turn around whatever might have been bad to good, this is all what singing praises, or singing Christmas Carols is all about, this is because God wants us to give him Praise and sing joyously to him, especially when it’s the season of Christmas, for this is what we must do as God’s children. for those that are not Christians, you all might not have to sing or celebrate Christmas, but for Christians, God’s own Children, you all must be contious of this fact.

Now looking at the birth of Jesus Christ, why would God allow a virgin to bare a Child in the first place, whether male or female, or why would a virgin be pregnant in the first place, if not for the fact that God wanted a better world for everyone, especially for His very own, a better world void of no sin, no ritual killings, a better world void of the wrong sets of people to cause mischieve, harm, chaos, wars e.t.c. A world were His word would be taught to all, a world of believers, a world or a generation of these sets that would love to please Him, having His fear within them to shun evil and then love good, a world of people that would love to seek His face all the time, not despising His word, but holding fast to what or how they would believe on His word. This was why Jesus Christ was born to bring redemption to mankind, to bring God’s word of truth to the world, and to display God’s character and manifestation of His spirit, to make men realize how powerful and genue God is. This is why a virgin brought forth a male Child, a Child at an early age who was found sitted with teachers, and governor’s, asking them questions and teaching them to know the truth which is God’s word, he was the revelation that men had always wanted, and great our God is bringing forth a virgin to born a male Child, that would bring and has brought freedom to mankind.

Indeed God is faithful, faithful towards His Children, and faithful towards man, this is why we have to celebrate Jesus Christ, knowing fully well that He is the reason for the season, the season of joy, and peace. This is why we have to celebrate Christmas, and put on these decorating lights to mark the birth of our saviour Jesus Christ, and then we could go on and on to give gifts to people we know, and then to those we don’t, knowing fully well that we are doing all to the praise and glory of God almighty, the creator of the universe, for this is what we must do from time to time, and to be rest assured that we know what we are doing, celebrating our Lord saviour Jesus Christ from season to season, for this is what God wants us to do and as we do, we are pleasing God, and also making ourselves happy seeing that Christmas is a day of joy and gladness of heart, we have to note this facts and then ensure that we celebrate this year’s Christmas in a grand style.
